Family Reunion for Syrians:  Artificial difficulties Thursday,  15th September 2016 First of all we would like to thank Sweden country,  government and people for their kind feeling and sympathy with the Syrian people.  To the migration agency we are Syrian citizens have legal permanent residence permission Sweden,  and looking to reunion with our families in syria.  Although we have the legal right family reunion-according to both the Swedish law and the EU laws regarding basic human rights-  we are facing unexplainable bureaucratic difficulties in the formal reunion process that make reunion very difficult and practically impossible for many Syrians Today we are here to complain about one main issue in the process:  we are in Sweden more than two years all of us have permanent residence permission more than one year ago and our families syria make the application of the family reunion directly after we get permanent permission.

The main problem which is impossible to solve by us is that through the process of the family reunion The migration agency officers routinely ask our family members to come to make an interview in a Swedish embassy in a country that do not allow Syrians to visit except with a visa that almost impossible to obtain and they determine only these embassies which is(Turkey,  Jordan,  United Arab Emirates,  Saudi Arabia and Egypt)  In a press statement,  the migration agency referred the problem to the Swedish foreign department,  blamed the countries authorities for not giving Syrians visas,  Instead of arguing who is responsible,  we would like to suggest the following alternatives:  Waive the requirement of doing interviews for reunion-Arrange interview online(Skype),  or on phone Allow Syrians to do the interview in any reachable Swedish embassy It should be noted that Syrians holding a valid passport can enter about 30 countries without visas,  including Lebanon,  Sudan,  Iran and Malaysia.  would like to point out that these solutions are not completely new or very surprising for the migration agency,  as we know that they are routinely used for other natianals facing similar problems.  Our families reside in Syria under fire from too many foreign and domestic parties(the Syrian regime,  the Russians,  the Iranians,  Isis,  the international collation,  PKK,  etc.). 

It sometimes feels like the migration agency is making the process intentionally hard for us,  although we have strong sincere hope that it is not the case.  We want you consider our problem and the high pression and tension that we live out of our fear of children live in a real war every minute for us is like throw our children in the middle of the fire We acknowledge the human response of the Swedish people and government in giving many Syrians asylum rights,  and we know that lots of people and many officials in the agency feel and understand us.  We would like to show our thanks to Sweden by being good residents,  and by contributing to the society,  but we cannot be in good shape when we are too worried about our partners and kids,  and when the hearts are torn apart by waiting for the very difficult reunion We kindly request the migration agency to take action to ease our family reunion process Attached to this letter a list of our names Sincerely
