Vid Botkyrka kyrka vill Botkyrka kommun bygga upp ett handelsområde och ett nytt bostadsområde. Detta trots att Länsstyrelsen avrått detta. Detta trots det kulturhistoriska värde som området har. Skriv under här för att förhindra att det byggs på denna kulturhistoriskt viktiga plats! Lägger upp lite bilder som jag fått lov att använda på hur det ser ut nu med grushögarna som ska stabilisera marken så att det ska gå och bygga där.

Botkyrka kyrka har sina rötter från 1100-talet. Ursprungligen ska det ha stått en stavkyrka i trä som lär vara byggd år 1129. Kyrkan som står nu dateras till år 1176, med ett antal förändringar under årens lopp. Det är således en av Sveriges äldsta stenkyrkor. Kyrkan och hela kommunen är döpt efter helgonet Sankt Botvid, som föddes på gården brevid kyrkan.

By the church of Botkyrka the municipality of Botkyrka wants to build a shoppingarea and a new housingarea. Even though the County Administrative Board advised not to. Even though the area has alot of cultral and historic value. Please sign this petition to make the politicans aware of the importance of this area. Let´s stop them from exploiting this historic site. These pictures show the area right now. These piles of rocks are here to stabilize the ground for future buildings. Under the rocks is a field used for farming crops. The rocks will hopefully be removed if they decide not to exploit this area.

Information about the church of Botkyrka
The church of Botkyrka dates back to the 12th century. Originally, it should have been a wooden stave church that was supposed to be built in 1129. The church as it is now, dates back to 1176, with a few changes during the course of time. It is therefore, one of the oldest stonechurches in Sweden. The church and the whole municipality is named after Saint Botvid, who was born on the farm next to the church.
