BRING SELMA HOME/FÅ HEM SELMA (There is a english version after the Swedish text)
Uppdatering 4/1 2019: Selma har fortfarande inte fått komma hem och namninsamlingen fortsätter till 21/2 21.00. Är hon inte hemma då skickasnamninsamlingen till migrationsverkets, Sveriges statsminister, Save the Children Italy och Italienska inrikesdepartementet.
Selma frågade igår - Får jag komma hem igen innan jul? Vad ska vi svara?
Selma 16 år togs i förvar i mitten av november. Hon hölls gömd på ett hotell i Örebro med 3 poliser i nästan ett dygn. Hon grät hela natten och fick inte använda sin mobiltelefon eller kommunicera på annat sätt med någon. De flög i chartrat plan, bara de fyra. Överlämnades på flygplatsen till polisen i Catania Italien. En okänd man kom och hämtade henne och nu sitter hon på ett slags transitboende/förvar som ligger isolerat beläget i ett land där hon inte känner någon och väntar rädd och ensam på vad som ska hända henne.
Hur kunde det bli så här?
Selma har varit på flykt sedan hon var nio år. När hon var 13 år flydde hon från flykten och från sin familj på grund av mycket stor utsatthet. Hon flydde till Sverige det enda stället där hon upplevt någon form av trygghet och snälla människor. Vuxna runt Selma tog henne till socialtjänsten och till migrationsverket och förklarade situationen men ingen utredning gjordes och ingen asylansökan registrerades. Selma bodde först på ett HVB hem och sedan hos en familj, hon gick i skolan och fick många kompisar. Selma levde som vilken vanlig tjej som helst nu i snart 3 år och fick ingen information om vad som väntade henne eller att ingen asylansökan registrerats.
Migrationsverket rättfärdigar den inhumana avvisningen till Italien genom det falska påståendet att Selma har uppehållstillstånd i Italien. Hennes familj hade tidigare fått ett tillfälligt uppehållstånd men som gått ut när Selma överfördes till Italien. Selma hade efter många år av flykt och utsatthet äntligen hittat lite trygghet i hemmet i Sverige och nu rycks hon upp igen för att skickas som ensamt barn till ett land där hon inte har någon/något. Sverige är det enda hem hon har i världen och hon vill inget annat än att få komma hem igen.
Hon skulle haft nationella prov nu innan jul och hon är mycket ledsen för att hon missar dem då hon sett fram emot att söka till gymnasiet som alla sina kompisar. Tycker du att denna hantering av ett barn som farit väldigt illa inte stämmer med det som står i barnkonventionen (som snart ska bli lag i Sverige) - ATT SE TILL BARNETS BÄSTA och att Selma ska få komma hem? BRING SELMA HOME BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Update 4/1 2019: Selma has still not been able to come home and the collection of
names continues until 21th of February. If she is not at home by Them this petition Will be sent to, the collection of names will be sent to Mikael Ribbenvik, the Swedish
Minister for Migration in Sweden, the prima minister, Save the Children
Italy and the Italian Interior Ministry.
Selma asked yesterday,- Can I come home again before Christmas?
What should we tell her?
16 year old Selma was arrested in the middle of November. She was held in
secrecy at a hotel in Örebro with three police officers for nearly 24 hours. She
cried all night and was not allowed to use her cell phone or communicate with
others in any way. They then traveled to Italy by chartered plane, just the four of
them. She was transferred to the local police in Catania, Italy. An unknown man
picked her up and now she is kept an isolated detention center in a country
where she knows no one. She is scared and alone waiting for what will happen to
her next.
How did this all happen?
Selma has been a refugee since she was 9 years old. When she was 13 she left her
family because of an unsafe safe situation and arrived in Sweden, the only place
where she felt safe and where she met kind people.
The adults near Selma took her to social services and to the immigration
authorities and explained the situation, but no case was registered and no
application for asylum was registered.
Selma lived at first at a group home and
then with a family, she attended school and had many friends. Selma lived a
normal life for three years and had no idea what was about to happen. She had
no idea that no application for asylum was registered. The Swedish migration
agency explained the inhumane deportation to Italy by claiming that Selma had a
residence permit in Italy. Her family had previously held a residence permit in
Italy, but it had expired by the time Selma was transferred to Italy.
After many years of being a refugee, Selma had finally found a sanctuary in
Sweden, and now she was ripped from this safe situation and sent alone as a
minor to a place where she has nothing and no one. Sweden is the only home she
has in the world and she wishes nothing other than to be allowed to come home
again.
She was supposed to have completed her national tests at school now
before Christmas and is very sad to miss this opportunity to apply for high school
like all of her friends.
Don’t you agree that this treatment of Selma is not in line with the United
Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child, (which is soon to become Swedish
law) - TO CARE FOR WHAT IS BEST FOR THE CHILD? Shouldn’t Selma get to come home?

Christmas with her friends and family.
